Daulat Ganj Safari
A 16–20 km jungle-and-heritage safari from Daulatganj Gate, Borabas range — Chambal cliffs, Kotia Bhil Fort and the animals of this forest.
Kota’s closest jungle drive starts at Daulatganj Gate. You enter and exit at the same forest check post, follow the Chambal, and pass Kotia Bhil Fort, Akelgarh, Garadia viewpoints and watch towers — a two-hour loop through this forest, not a zoo enclosure.

Unlike many core tiger-reserve roads, the Daulatganj route is in the buffer. Local reports say visitors can still enter in the rains. Traction is slower, the forest is greener, and bears are more active around insects and fruit.

Best weather on the circuit. Waterbirds and raptors use the Chambal. Pleasant gypsy hours and clearer views from Garadia and the new Chambal point.
April – June
Early morning only if heat is severe
Hadoti summers are harsh. Animals concentrate near remaining water. Carry water, a hat, and follow any heat-wave timing changes announced by the reserve.

Morning 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM and evening 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. The loop takes about two hours. Reach the gate 30 minutes early.
Published figures are a 16 km working track and a roughly 20 km, two-hour loop from Daulatganj via Kotia Bhil, Garadia and Rathkankara, returning to the same gate.
On this circuit: leopard, sloth bear, chinkara, chital, sambar, nilgai, jackal, hyena, wolf, fox, jungle cat, wild boar, langur and peafowl. Tigers are not the usual animal of the Daulatganj drive. Chambal viewpoints look toward mugger and gharial water.
The route is in the buffer zone. News reports at launch said visitors would still get entry in the rains. Always check the gate the day you travel.
